Operation Cold Front was such a great success and a great venue that we have decided to hold a second installment. Some features of the upcoming 2010 game: -Game Venue, CFB Rivers Near Brandon Manitoba. -Dynamic Objective Based Game Play. -Designated Command Structure. -Milsim Oriented Players Playing a Milsim Oriented Game.
As with last years game this years game will be based on a semi-invitation only basis. Which means you need to head over to http://www.operationcoldfront.com and post in the CHECK IN section, once your post is made we will contact you after a veteran player from your area has been contacted to verify that you are ready to give 110% towards a long duration milsim game.
We have had fairly consistent attendance for our events having players all the way out from BC in the West, we are hoping to draw more players in from the East this year.
This is the only site I've posted on in the East so far besides ASC because it seems that this team has the milsim mentality that would be required for the type of event we are putting on. If there are other like mind players that you feel would be interested out in your locale please pass along the information.
Thanks Mark, we're definitely up for the challenging and new location you have, and the event is something i'd like to be part of. Best of all it looks awesome.
I'll talk to our guys to see how many can pull this off. I'm definitely up for it - just gotta have a few more drivers for this kind of road trip!
I will get back to you on your forums once i hear back from the guys.
Registration/Enlistment for Operation Cold Front 2 will be opening up one week from today, April 1st. This will not be an April Fools joke, it's the real deal! Get ready.
Fighting erupted today in Western Canada as a large majority of the Canadian Forces in the area moved to secure key military and other infrastructure in the region. This is believed to be a response to the new Coalition government move to the new sanctions imposed on the region. The movement is said to be backed by Provincial political heads in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
From the information we have been receiving it appears as though the revolt started simultaneously at CFB Edmonton, Wainwright, and Suffield. It appears as there was some resistance from military personnel loyal to the Canadian government as well as some international forces at the land force western area training centre in Wainwright. The rebellion has quickly begun to expand outwards.
Members of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry based in Edmonton have also moved to secure 4 Wing at CFB Cold Lake. Other Western affected bases and areas include CFB Comox and CFB Esquimalt.
Reports have also been received that parts of the 2PPCLI have abandoned CFB Shilo and are headed west in an Effort to secure 15 Wing CFB Moosejaw.
Additional details are scarce at this time.

Nations from around the world have pledged support to the Canadian government in an effort to quickly curb the Western uprising in fears of the economic repercussions it could have around the world.
Nations that have offered intimidate military support are The United States, Britain, Germany, and Russia.
Fighting continued early this morning near the the Land Force Western Training Area near Wainwright which in the past has been home to mock Afghan villages used for training for deployments to Afghanistan. Video of the battle has now begun to find it's way on to the internet.
