Lyth, Bowmanville, Requesting to join.

1) I go by Lyth (Pronounced: Lith. As in Lithium). But, I can easily go by anyname that you guys want to call me.
2) I am currently 17 years old, but am turning 18 in June.
3) My current location is Bowmanville, Ontario. Its about 15 minutes from Oshawa.
4) I have some airsoft experience. I have owned an airsoft gun for a while now, yet I used to be
into paintball and would play it bi-weekly.
5) I currently own a Kraken Ak47 and a Stinger P32 Clone of a Colr 1911.
6) Yes, I have my BDU. It consists of: Cadpat Pants, Cadpat Coat, Flacktarn ChestRig, Goggles, flacktarn helmet (I can remove the flacktarn from this helmet and put on cadpat once I get it.)
7) No, but I do currently have my G1 Drivers License. My parents can drive me to most places.
8) I am also planning on joining my schools Canadian Army Reserve Co-op Course next year. (Its a co-op course, but your in the reserves).
I have also worked Security at a few conventions that were located in the GTA and Durham region.
9) No, I have never been in trouble with the law. My record is spotless. Never even been questioned by a police officer for anything that I have ever done.
10) Well, My names Josh and I'm into videogames and computers. I really adore airsoft, and I think I would make an excellent addition to the team. I don't know your guys' age restriction, but like I said I am 17. I know for a fact that some arenas/playing fields allow players that are 16+ if there is a guardian, parent, or teammate who is over 18 and can sign for them. I know that since I'm under 18, there would be some games that I wouldnt be able
to go to, although I would love to join to train with you guys and learn tactics for games that I could go to.

(And if there arent ANY games that I could go to, I could always just train with you guys and be excluded from the games.
I'd be fine with that, or if you guys accept me, I could just train with you guys and go to the games that are 16+, and once I turn 18, I could go to the 18+ games. My birthdays in June. I say this because, if I was to just train with you guys until I'm 18, I'd have more experience than someone whos 18 and just started airstoft.)

Several members, including myself, will be at the CampX game on Sunday. Next weekend, several of us will be at the FTF training weekend. Our age restriction is 18+, but you'll be turning 18 in June of next year, so I don't see this being much of a problem, especially if you are a good guy.

If our command group approves your "application", we would grant you recruit status at which time we assess your ability and how you get along with the rest of the guys.

I'll get back to you.

Hey guys. I thought I'd throw in a little biography about myself, so that you guys know what kind if personality to expect when I see you at a game.

My name ofcourse is Josh. I have ADHD, But I take medication for it. During games, I usually dont take the medication or just take a low dose due to it can make me less energetic, or sleepy. I love the whole idea about playing airsoft with tactics and war sim, it makes me jittery just thinking about it. I listen to most types of music, but I dont really have a preference. I really love technology and videogames but I also have a passion for guns. I'm an average size guy thats 6 foot tall. I used to take Mixed Martial Arts but I dont know but I can run for a while due to me being having a high lung capacity. I'm well mannered and listen to orders, unless they are completely absurd such as "jumping off a bridge".

:)

Hey guys. Im kinda out of commission until I get a new battery. Turns out that the stock battery that comes with the kraken isnt good and that the instruction booklet lied to me. It tells me that I need to charge it for 11 hours, although looking at the mAh specs, I only need to charge it for 5. So, that means the last 2 times I charged the battery, it was on for like 6 hours too long. In short, I need a new battery. I shall pick one up soon.

Also guys, whats the deal with the snow now? All I have is woodland cadpat. Do you guys require that I go out and buy new winter cadpat? (Im not made of money, ya know ;) ). For winter games with freinds, I usually just wear allwhite.

I don't believe there is anything known as 'winter CADPAT'. The hardcore among us use Winter Whites which are worn over top of your BDU. They are ultra affordable and great for snowy weather. As for your battery, I don't think I quite follow.

You should be able to do a complete discharge and then simply, properly charge it again.

Will you be making it to our training date (if it happens), next weekend?

Im not sure. Its a Ni-CD battery and according to ASC, the stock battery that comes with the Kraken isnt that good. The batteries dead, and I'm currently charging it for 5 hours. If it works, I'll try to make it to your guys game if I can get a ride and if I have money. Also, where is the game located? (Remember guys, I'm near Oshawa. I'm in Bowmanville.)

Whisper, do you have MSN? :)

EDIT: I have 3 other freinds who would like to try out. One of them is 17, the others 18, and the last is 16 but hes turning 17 on Dec 21st. At some point, they are all going to put an application on the forums. Would I be able to bring them? (Two of them have TF16 AEGs. One has a spring rifle, so he may not come. Also, none of them have cadpat, but one is willing to buy cadpat soon and the other 2 are willing to purchase some around christmas, drummerboy happens to be the one willing to purchase cadpat soon.)

2nd EDIT: Guys, I have fixed my battery (I think.). Its charged now, and my multimeter reads it as 97% charged. I tested it and it works like a charm!

I'll probably be able to come. As, I fixed my battery as I previously stated. Just a few questions.

What day is it on?
Where is it located?
Could I bring some freinds who want to try out also?

(I need to know these in advance, so I could get a ride.)

Hey guys. I picked up a PaintBall Mask for face protection. Would it be okay if I use this? I see lots of airsofters using paintball masks.

paintball masks are "legal" in airsoft so it should be good.. i've never used one so i don't know how annoying they are if at all lol.. but i prefer my sunglasses to goggles or a mask any day :D

Haha thanks. I prefer the mask.

FLyboy, do you know any info about the upcoming training day? I need it in advance, so I can see if I can get a ride.

Also, my camoflage isnt "real" cadpat. Its more of a simulated cadpat/digital camo. Is that fine? I refer to it as cadpat because it looks real, but its not authentic pattern or authentic army quality.

Army issue is not required but make sure it is CADPAT pattern (not jungle stalker). The idea of uniform is so we look like a team. I think Frontenac is the best material (lasts many years of use and is cooler) but some guys get the cheaper Parklands brand.

Yea. Its not Junglestalker. Its Parklands Canada Woodland Cadpat. (Brown, green, Black).
(Mine looks like this: http://www.freewebs.com/blacksnakekiller/MARPAT%5B1%5D.jpg )

My freinds are thinking about picking up some grey digital camo (Grey and dark grey), or some dark green digital camo. (Dark Green, Black, Green).

I hope I have the right camo you guys are looking for.

Does anyone here have MSN?

And, when is the training day info going to be posted on the forums?

I wouldn't stress about getting the correct camo... at least don't do it for the Rangers. We have a process for recruitment.
