I have been looking for a serious Airsoft Team in Canada (near the GTA), it seems to me that the Rangers are the right choice. As you could see the game is well developed in my home country as well as in Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Peru. Not to mention Spain, Italy, the Neederlands, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, South Corea, and of course our neighbours.
Just as an example the Venezuelan National Championships (celebrated at least once a year, not counting regional games - at least 5 per year) are massive, more than 500 people playing during a whole weekend agenda. Regional games, could be as large as 300 airsofters, from more than 12 diferent teams. Actually there are more than 50 teams. T90 Airsoft Team (my old team) was the 3rd largest team in Venezuela, we were organized into 4 squads of 9 members each one (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta) there also was an special sniper team (4 people / sniper + spoter e/o), We played every 2 weekends on Sunday, from 08:00 am to 4:00 pm. The team had to fields, one large for skirmish and Milsims, and one abandoned house to play CQB, check Youtube an you will find it there.
By the way if you wish to check, all teams have an ombusman (the team leader) and all teams are subscribed to the national airsoft association http://www.airsoftvzla.com/. We use it to share info among all the airsofters, and to stablish relations with the police, armed forces (National Guard mainly), and other social organizations, in order to promote the nature of the game, and make them understand that airsofters just play for fun. We tried to sell the idea that airsoft is just an evolution of paintball. That we are responsible people and we respect the law. Always local police, social groups, and the National Guard were notified in advace of our games, a list of all the teams and team member was faxed or emailed to local authorities, and we invited them to join us (Ussualy large games ended up with a Barbecue were the kids, wifes and everybody could join a nice time together).
I will be there, thanks for the opportunity!!!. Please let me know.
1) What uniform type should be the best (MARPAT, ACU, Digital Woodland?). 2) Where is the field located? Is there a gathering area in Toronto, or somewhere else? I migth be able to pick up somebody nearby the Toronto area, since I have my own car. 3) Starting and ending time of the activity. Just to tell my boss (my wife!!!) when I will be back.
