(My friends and I come from a long past in paintball but and are looking for more. We heard airsoft can be high paced and fast action. I'm personally looking to hopefully get out every other weekend (rotating schedule at work means I work every other weekend) and have some fun.
Penn, thanks for your interest. We are Durham regions largest and most organized airsoft team. Contrary to what you wrote, airsoft, and in particular milsim airsoft is much more of a cat and mouse game... Or to coin the real military, a hurry up and wait. Typically, why people enjoy milsim is it's close mimicking of real military gear and tactics. Is it fun? Yes. Can it be high paced? Yes.m is it for everyone? No.
We run training from time to time, which gives us an opportunity to meet new recruits and assess their compatibility with the unit. If you are serious about becoming a ranger, then I suggest you attend a training event. To us, skills are not as important as attitude.
